Cost of images

| Scala's Photographic
copyright fee varies according to use (book, magazine, CD-ROM etc.)
placement (inside w/text, full page, cover etc.), country of residence and
territorial distribution of the product (one or more languages/countries). |

Rights due to third
parties (e.g. museums, collectors, artists in copyright - living or
dead for less than 70 years, personality rights) are indicated on-line,
in the image detail as well as on the delivery note that accompanies the
images. In these cases obtaining additional copyright clearance is the customer's
responsibility. Please feel free to contact us should you have questions
or wish for referrals to copyright clearance consulting and rights societies. |

Shipping costs (mail, express courier), if any, can be advanced by Scala,
but are in any case at the customer's expense.

Color transparencies
are sent free of charge for one month's inspection. The inspection time
frame may be extended to up to three months upon customer's written
request and explanation. Any further delay will be charged, unless otherwise
agreed upon. |

Requests for high-resolution
image files, will be billed at the time of dispatch, unless otherwise
agreed upon. In this case inspection free of charge is not permitted. |

A charge will be applied
for lost or damaged color transparencies and/or the CD containing the files
(see Terms and conditions).

Scala reserves the right
to make a minimal charge for picture research, duplication, packing and
shipping to cover handling costs. In such cases the client is of course
alerted prior to applying charges. Such charges will not be made if the
images are selected for reproduction and the royalties are paid. With the
exception of particularly complicated and lengthy searches, no search charge
will be made for the supply of email low-resolution deliveries.
Downloads from the website www.scalarchives.it of low-resolution image files for layouts, pilots,
or any use that is not intended for commercial reproduction is permitted.
